I second what George said -- the challenge was so inspiring for me to do. I actually got a whole short film script out of the idea for one of the prompts!

The scene writing challenge was a whole lot of fun. I only completed 8 scenes, I think, so far, and for me it was basically a form of free writing, that helped free up my brain. There was a ten day script writing challenge on the Black Board last week, and I genuinely believe the GITS scene writing challenge helped free my mind to tackle it with gusto. So, if the aim was to get us writing pages, it worked! It was great fun to see everyone's take on the prompts, too, enjoyed reading, as much as writing. Now, I'm going to go back and see if I can't write a few more scenes, to qualify for a class or two. Really enjoyed playing with this challenge.

Ir's been amazing, Scott. A total epiphany for me. Writing scene's is something so simple and yet so pertinent. But you don't get it until you try it. By focusing on one scene, you pretty much have to make it work as a story in itself (in three acts). And I'm the first guy to say, screw three acts. I'll do what I want. But this makes sense if you try it, if for no other reason than forcing yourself to make every scene interesting and compelling in itself. Of course the bigger film is made from the combination of scenes, no matter the structure.
