K9 is on Cinemax right now!

Ha! Last month, it was on HBO all the time. Movie still has 'legs,' nearly 20 years after it was released. Thanks for the heads up!

Great interview with Nick Kazan! Thanks for sharing. It was interesting that he spoke of the energy being transmitted into the piece and that he likes to write quickly. Very inspirational!

K9 was on a ton of times while my son recouped. He's now perfected the "Oh Yeah!" :)

Thanks Scott! The articles and clips you share continue to be an inspiration.

Julie :)

Julie, I see and hear the 'writing quickly' meme a lot with screenwriters and it makes sense. When you've got 8-12 weeks to deliver a draft or you're a script doctor and you're delivering pages for the next day's shoot, time is a precious commodity.

If you read the Anna Hamilton Phelan interview excerpts here, she's really insistent about pace, especially in the first draft:

""If I could say anything... it is to keep going. Don't go back and fix that first scene. Don't go back and fix that dialogue. Write yourself a little note saying, 'Put in first scene such-and-such,' if you happen to think of something, then get a little stickum and stick that somewhere on the wall. But don't go back, because going back is a trap. It keeps you from going forward. It keeps you from going ahead."
