Great post, Scott. My question is actually about the caveat. I noticed that the three movie examples you listed being non linear were also written by the director. My fear in writing a spec and trying to go non linear is that unless I'm already established as a writer or directing the project it might be a hard script to sell. Any examples where non established writers were able to sell a spec with a non linear story line? Thanks so much!
