Nope!

Actually, at least two are on my 'will see' list: STAR WARS, THE CLONE WARS -- as discussed in a previous post, I am a proud card carrying member of the SW Geek Club; and THE PERFECT GAME.

I love to see movies with Latinos in non-stereotypical roles and stories. I have a feeling I need to see this one opening weekend or I'll have to wait for the DVD. It’s based on a true story and looks pretty good.

The Perfect Game got a lot of good buzz initially, so it's surprising to see Lionsgate shift it into August. Would seem to make more sense to platform it in September as the MLB pennant races heat up. Here's a link to that trailer. Looks really good.

Also, if George Lucas should happen upon your blog here's a note to him: Although The Clone Wars animated film looks fantastic, hasn't it already been done with live action?

If you really want to give SW fans a treat, how about an animated next chapter in Luke's Story?

I mean, he's the last Jedi? Doesn't he want to start recruiting and training the next generation of Jedi? Did all of the Emperor’s cronies give up that easily? Aren’t they going to regroup? Who’s going to step up? What about Han and Leia? Any kids? Vader’s grand kiddies are bound to have some kind of powers.

The umpteen novels and comics that have been written and read by the fanatical SW geeks have probably addressed these issues. I still think it’d make a great animated feature. But that’s just me.

Actually, there are several Star Wars books series aimed at youth market including Junior Jedi Knights.

Not really geeked about any movies coming out this month. Will see "Tropic Thunder" and "The Pineapple Express" all else looks skippable.
