Just watched the trailer this morning. It looks like instant conflict in the logline - weed and action. It struck me as an updated Cheech and Chong type movie --- the 70's relived!

Julie

Julie, the trailer lays out the three acts very clearly:

Act One: Meet the potheads and their comical lives.

Big Plot Point: Rogen's character witnesses a hit. They see him.

Act Two: Bad Guys chasing Good Guys. Hijinks and mayhem ensue.

Act Three: Builds to Final Struggle.

The big surprise is the director David Gordon Green, who has done a bunch of small budget dramas. But evidently, he's got some comedy chops because I've read interviews with him, too, and he really embraced the improv vibe on the set.

HUGE James Franco fan. Will see "Pineapple Express" just to see ma-man in action. The previews do make it look kinda interesting... Plus it's got Judd Apatow's name tied to it...

Okay, I'm psyched! Gonna see it Friday or Saturday for sure -- though it's like totally different then what I'm writing right now...
