Scott,

Know where you're coming from. Had to let two daughters leave the nest and go off to East Carolina U. Okay, not exactly as far as Boston, but the effect was the same. The four years will fly by in a blink -- maybe not for your son -- but for you.

When a parent says goodbye to a child it’s the beginning of our next journey. Enjoy the ride.

Have a safe trip, and...

Keep Writing,
Mike

It was a Kleenex moment after reading your take --- it's all so true. Thank you for sharing your soul touching words. I'm printing them out for I will be needing them next year. I only pray I'll be as composed as you are!

There was an article on how people get bored with life, especially after they had kids. The author put it bluntly --- you're not paying attention if you're bored. Seeing life through your kids' eyes is fascinating. It's an adventure of the heart - highs and lows like you've never experienced. Like you said, there are no dull moments. The trick is to treasure each and every one of those moments.

It sounds like you've raised a fine son. It will be neat to watch him fly --- :)

Scott, my thoughts will be with you guys this weekend. A virtual Kleenex in your direction.

Julie
