Ah, the Period Piece rears its ugly head yet again....

Ah interesting. What I am really getting out of this is how much moviemakers are segueing into fictionalizing/adapting real-life material with focus on character taking precedence over facts (not that there wasn't enough of a level of research involved trying to replicate the specifics of the time period) - freedom to know that just because something is a period piece doesn't mean risks and creative licence can't be taken to tell the story.
