I always liked the Michaelangelo outlook on it... The sculpture is already in this giant block of marble. All he has to do is remove all that isn't sculpture.

Of course, screenwriting feels a little bit more like -- building the sculpture from scratch to perfection, then knocking it to bits with a sledge hammer, only to rebuild it so it can be sealed within a giant marble block, and then you can chip away everything that isn't "your story."

But that's sounds so complicated :p.

For me, the scary empty page is 8.26 x 11.69 inches (A4).

So that's like, what...

(8.26/8.5) x 100 = 3% LESS horrifying lengthways, and...

(11.69/11) x 100 = 6% MORE horrifying sideways.

Oh. My. God. So a net gain of 3% MORE HORRIFYING for us metric A4 paper users.

You letter-format users are a bunch of pussies (um, I mean, scaredy-cats). :-)

James - Yes, that post reminded me of the Michelangelo quotes too. Snap.
