I've been challenging myself to write a script a month for 12 months (more here: http://f---nobuttheresaposter.blogspot.com/). It's about exercising that muscle and making it stronger and more adept at its task. And I've noticed my writing improving, so there ya go.

Scott, what an excellent series! Curious to see what the final two are: - How many feature length scripts have you written? Four (though considering they are not at Final Draft stages yet, are they fully written? No but they are written, yes) - Do you feel like you know more about the craft of screenwriting now than when you wrote your first script? Hell Yeah! I knew very very little and all I had was a bit of passion and a love for films - it makes a BIG difference to keep writing new stories, I never expected I could manage it so it's a huge motivating factor when you surprise yourself with what you as a writer are capable of accomplishing. -What have you learned about the craft of screenwriting from writing scripts? That writing isn't easy - and composed of many many levels of experimentation and exploration, not to mention a heck of a ton of commitment - it is marriage! But I have found it gets a little easier the more you write because you learn to become more comfortable with the ups and downs and the process.
