That's right. GREAT movie. If promoted right and it looks like it is being released the right way, this movie could be a HUGE sleeper hit.

Danny Boyle was an incredibly interesting person at Austin Film Festival, too. A couple tidbits:
-He thinks every director's best movie is their best. (I disagree, considering how great this movie is compared to "Shallow Grave," this first.) But this explains why he "genre-jumps" often.

-He rarely, if ever, storyboards. Again, he likes going with that free approach...show up and see what you come up with.

-He was going to blow off the SDM script, but saw it was written by the Full Monty author. So, his intent was to read just 20 pages out of respect. He was sold on it 10 pages in, he said.

GO SEE this movie. I can't imagine many people coming away disappointed.

i think if searchlight is basing their future on a wrestling film by darren aronofsky starring of all people mickey rourke, they're in big trouble.

i'm fascinated that someone looked at that combination and thought, "yeah, let's do it. that'll make money."
