Scott, I am curious about how she managed to blur that line between truth and fiction when he adapted his story as there are some differences between the original historic version versus the screenplay, particularly with CS Lewis and his character. Any tips on fictionalizing a true story like this one?

This sounds like a really fascinating and script. Any news on it becoming a movie? Thanks very much Scott for the great interview.

Hi Aarthi, Thanks so much for your question. I looked at it as doing detective work. I sought out the gaps in the recorded history (i.e. the cut pages in the diary, periods where several theories existed over the circumstances of a specific event) and I allowed myself to be creative in those moments, which is where a lot of the fantasy elements come in. I wasn't writing a strict biopic or doing a documentary-- I was consciously blurring the lines between fantasy and reality which gave me more creative freedom. Hi Stephanie, oh my goodness! Thank you so much for taking the respond to my question! I was asking because I have been tackling this historic-fantasy for years and now that I am close to finishing it, my head is aching because of all the skewed facts. It was a necessity to tell the story, but I still keep having pangs of 'guilt' for changing so much and it's my first script as well... but this answer has eased my mind SO much and it's great to find I am not alone with that concern, story-wise.
