but if you've written your log line and your synopsis and done your outline, then you should know where you're going and writing scenes out of order shouldn't be terribly dangerous.
and perhaps in writing a later scene you'll realize what you need in previous scenes that you hadn't planned for.
that said, so far i haven't written out of sequence - but i have rushed through some scenes just to have a basic placeholder.
i completely agree with the editing comment. that's been one of the hardest things for me to learn about the writing process. it doesn't have to be perfect the first time, or before you can move on to something else. in fact there's great value in it not being that way.
