Yes, A CHRISTMAS STORY is a truly fine movie--and really funny, even after I've seen it many times. Of course part of the reason I watch it repeatedly is that I'm the author of the only book about the movie's creator, Jean Shepherd. He told the stories on his radio programs, published them in Playboy, and then in his best-selling books, and narrates the entire film.

Hey, gee!--wouldn't his fascinating creative and personal life make a great screenplay! Who could write such a thing, working with me for content?
