Underrated, underseen classic!

I agree, Jeff. A wonderful movie. And I'm glad someone else is familiar with it. Originally produced for Channel 4 TV in the UK and directed by Michael Apted. IMDB listing here. If you click through the featured clip and go directly to YouTube, some kindly person has posted the entire movie in 10 minute segments. It's well worth screening, a charming, funny movie.
