Being a mom of two young kids, scheduling used to be tricky, but overtime has become bit more routine: My weekday schedule: 5AM - 7AM, 7 - 11 drop the kids, household tasks, reading, 11 - 4 writing time. After my kids sleep, 9 - 10PM if I need to catchup. Weekends - still wake up at 5 - 7AM, that's it as the rest is spent with family...(except the last two days since the toronto power outage) I do follow the sequence approach when I draft, so I usually manage each sequence in three to four days. What usually takes longer is the prepping, usually about three to four weeks since I get very detailed with my outlines. Monthly I am trying to stack three projects at a time, sometimes four and the goal of each month is to progress further with them, whichever stage they are at - whether prep, writing, rewriting or brainstorming new ideas. overall my goal: write everyday no matter what - and stacking has really helped additionally because there's always something I need to write.
