What about Boston or Providence for a workshop? Don't leave New England out! 8-)
Scott at 2013-11-19 23:11:39:
Love to come to Boston. As I said in the original post, I'm happy to go almost anywhere. All I need is 10 writers to commit to one location.

How about São Paulo?? haha New York might work for me.
tiffanyleigh at 2013-11-20 09:31:09:
I'd be very interested in attending this on the east coast. New York City-based, but Providence, Boston, Philly, even Baltimore or DC are all reachable.

Scott, this is perfect. The Atlanta area needs you. What would you need in advance from 10 writers to commit to coming - deposits by a certain date?
Scott at 2013-11-20 13:33:42:
Heather, I'm still trying to figure out logistics. Certainly welcome all suggestions. I think at first what I'll do is solicit general interest and confirm individuals by email of their interest, aggregating them into whatever city they're from (obviously looking at major urban sites). If there are, say, 5 from any city who have expressed interest, then I'll set it up so folks can put down a deposit. I'll make it like Kickstarter: If I get 10 people, we go forward. If not, I refund the deposit. So if you're interested in a 4-Day Quest Workshop in Atlanta, please email me. I'll be posting about this weekly both to publicize it and figure out all of the logistics. I'm a story guy, not a marketing or admin guy, so as I say, if anyone has suggestions or ideas how to facilitate these workshops, I'm all virtual ears!

Great, Tiffany. Please email me so I can put on the list.

As one of the attendees of the workshop, I want to add that this workshop was simply amazing! Just the material alone is worth the cost of admission. In four days I learned a character based approach to screenwriting, workshopped stories as a group, kickstarted my next screenplay, and met some wonderful new friends! If any of this appeals to you, attend this workshop! Scott, if you plan on having a workshop in Philadelphia, I would gladly attend again.

Thanks for your kind words, David. You really did make some good progress on your story and the process continues in our online platform. And so true about the other writers in our group. Incredible energy, insight, and lots of fun. I am VERY interested in Philadelphia as a potential workshop site, so I'll start a list for it as well. I guess what this is like is a sort of crowdsourcing thing, seeking 10 people in any given city to make it happen. Interesting...

I've heard people raving about the Santa Monica workshop, Scott. I'm so excited that you're looking at ways to take the show on the road.
