Interesting, I used to be one of the loathers of outlines and pre-planning in general as I was always impatient just to get to FADE in (still am as a matter of fact though getting better at 'curbing all the enthusiasm' ) but now I have to say outlines have saved my life - and has made me complete things quicker (few years back, outline-less I was hacking away at one script- now I am on my fourth - thanks Scott:)). They are like a map through your script's hits and bumps so well worth the effort.

I'm really interested in this 10 major plotline points - How does it work exactly, do you just break your story in 10 major points or do you go with Act I, Act II, Act II like e.g. 3 Plotpoints should be in Act I, 4 in II and another 3 in Act III? Would really like to know more about that kinda prep.work...
