Scheduled. After the Summer of Doing Nada, I forced myself into a daily writing schedule. And dang it all, it works. I used to rely heavily on the "Trust the Process" mantra, but now I've expanded the mantra to: "Trust the Process between the hours of 9:15-2:00pm."

Fulfilling. Writing fills a void in my life. It's a way I can express myself that I can't in normal conversation. It allows me to organize my thoughts and transcribe all the crazy things that go on inside my brain. I don't know what I'd do without it.

Mind-blowing especially when you get results:) - seeing a story in your head come to life/going places and meeting all kinds of people and creatures without ever getting off your butt... never experienced such a ride in my life.

English can't describe it in one word but, fortunately, when English falls short, Yiddish comes to the rescue: Shteiging A slow, daily process of continual growth and improvement that never ends.
