this is the single hardest aspect of screenwriting for me to master. removing my director's hat (and acting, too) when writing what is already a finished (acted, edited, etc) product in my mind, has been really tough for me.

having said that, it's not completely lost on me... just hard for me to shorten. or to find the most effective words to use.

Despina, perhaps the single best thing you can do is read scripts while watching their movies. Immerse yourself in that practice for a few months. It's amazing how much you can learn both consciously and intuitively about the relationship between the printed word and what's on screen.
