Nice dialogue. I just watched this movie two days ago - a bit slow moving in some days, but what it does really well is use its dialogue to enhance its characters - in fact it's all dialogue, but it's sincere dialogue that works.

It's so rare to see a movie nowadays that allows room for scenes to breathe, for characters to just be. In my view, Mud works precisely because it does that and, as you note, has honest dialogue from authentic characters. More movies like this, please!
