Pleasentville is a nice example. Also the twist of a couple from the past in our present. It may tie well with Day 10: "11 Dating Tips from Ovid’s Ars Amatoria." So we could have some good tips and some bad tips. Maybe I wouldn't go with a couple... I can see something remotely similar to Enchanted. How would a woman that accepted the kind of advice from "7 tips for keeping your man" behave today? How would present day guys treat her? And of course she would make some female friends with feminist ideas and that could give us opportunity for drama.

But let's not go as far as the 50's. Present day. Several parts of the world still have a very patriarchal society. (Just take a look at Marjane Satrapi's Persepolis). Hey, we may even be talking about certain very, very conservative people in ANY country, including the U.S. and the U.K. And we could be talking about any of the three major Abrahamic religions, all of them have ultra-orthodox groups. Yes, they usually marry someone with the same religious beliefs, but come on, love is... unpredictable. A liberal and an ultra-orthodox could fall in love in the right circumstances. And if he/she is madly in love, the liberal could even try to please the ultra-orthodox by following some of these tips.

I'm going to bet that there's no parallel set of tips for men in those days. This is... I know I've got to make up for coming in late yesterday, but this whole thing just always made me sick, you know? But here's the thing, as Alejandro said, that sort of conservative viewpoint is held in parts of the world, heck, even in the conservative side of the United States. Didn't DJ from Full House (I'm blanking on names) say that this kind of thing was the deal with her and her husband? So imagine if someone like her, or like a really big famous celeb wrote a book about this sort of thing and it became a best seller and that sort of thing took off... or maybe you get a big revulsion from that kind of thinking, like how that book about Tiger Moms had all those parents saying "I would NEVER treat my children like that!," you could get all these guys thinking "uhhh, have I been doing this to my wife all this time? I should PROBABLY do something about that..."

I was thinking... the 50's or even present day conservative, patriarchal society/city/town. What if we mix it with body swap, think "Freaky Friday" or "Vice Versa"? So one day a town wakes up and all men and women swapped bodies. How about that?
