I broke one last week, y'all!!!!!!! It was the most obnoxious thing on the planet to anyone else other than me because I harked and arked (like a seal) about it all damn day. It really is a cool thing. All my other stories, save for one, have been slow creepy crawly things and while I was happy to see a light at the end of their respective tunnels, this last one was like catching that perfect wave, maaan. It started with a scene (the BB peeps will know as they helped me work it out about the proper slug/description when starting over dark/black scene) and a character that turned into an entire journey. I had absolutely no idea where I was going with it/her and WHOOSH! 'twas pretty cool :) I can't remember if I outlined it first or just started writing that particular scene... I just remember sitting down and writing (both outline and pages) and it all just came to me. I imagined the ending sort of mirroring the open and the rest just filled in like a Texas flood!
