This comment was especially interesting: "And in the end, that’s what we’re writing — screenplays thats are movies. Not just well written screenplays." Everything is changing and changing rapidly, do you think writing "screenplays that are movies" will change the way we write? There's so much controversy over adverbs and camera angles and statements that the writer should get out of the way, yet somehow deliver a voice attached to a skeleton. Is the craft of the screenwriter evolving into a richer form of storytelling? Perhaps headed towards publication to be read for enjoyment, as people so often do with theatrical plays? Again, thank you for your time and for sharing your experiences. It's a terrific boost to a lot of us slugging away.

Hi Arash - and thanks Scott! These interviews are such an inspiration, especially to those of us not already in Hollywood.

The craft of screenwriting is definitely changing, from concept to actual script. First, there's the essence of understanding how your movie will be marketed to audiences, which should educate what your story is about. Second, the aim isn't so much to do the work of the director on the page - in terms of writing the camera angles etc - more understanding sense of camera, editing and perspective when you're writing, and how they will be performed and cut together. good luck and keep writing!
