Jeez... I'm starting to miss him and I never knew him. He sounds like a really cool guy :) Santa Barbara is one of my faves, too. I don't know what it is about that place that's just so calming and soothing and cleansing - it's good for the soul. I miss SoCal so much. that fig looks HUGE! and i forgot all about the big lemons out there.
