Scott, regarding the log lines we are sending you and in the event that we get selected, do we need to know more than just the logline (aka. have figured out a synopsis/treatment to the story prior to participation) or is that something we would be developing in the quest?

Aarthi, as we will be starting the development process with this simple question -- "Who is your Protagonist" -- then building everything out from there, all you need is your story concept. That said there may be some benefit from having dug into the story universe and characters sufficient enough to craft a well-informed logline. That just depends on the nature of the story. I spotlighted one story last year that I eventually selected for the Quest Initiative based on a six word title. Yes, the concept was that clean. So if you have a GREAT story concept, but not much more than that in terms of how or if you've developed it, that's completely fine. Once again, this highlights how critically important the central idea of the story is, and why I will be favoring strong high concepts in my selection process.
