Dana really enjoyed the interview series this week. Your account of your journey into screenwriting and the variety of work has been really interesting. Your list of mantras above reminds me of Baz Luhrmann's Everybody's Free to Wear Sunscreen for Writers. Ever thought about saying it slowly and accompanying to dreamy music?

I appreciate the comment. So, the second to last item on my list advises writers to recognize their value as originators. And although Baz Luhrman is credited on You Tube with "Everybody's Free to Wear Sunscreen," he only directed it. The copy was actually written and delivered as a commencement address by Mary Schmich, a columnist with the Chicago Tribune, which I think serves as an appropriate explanation for why I included that thought. And, yes, music, but not slow and dreamy. Something with poly rhythms, perhaps?
