I literally stopped what I was doing to watch the entire video. Would love to see an update including No Country For Old Men, A Serious Man, and True Grit.

I'm obsessed with True Grit. The writing and acting are perfection. My uncle is a Texas Hill Country Cowboy and knows all the spots they filmed and some of the people they worked with and he's a good one to sit and watch it with... we have to rewind certain parts 100 times and discuss. I love it. He's a huge fan of No Country and we're both huge fans of O Brother so we geek out from time to time with a marathon whenever he's in town. Tends to annoy anyone within a 50 mile radius of us. Don't care.

they are such nerds. LOVE it. there was so much to take away from this, but what struck me was that they are men of such few words... yet their dialogue is genius, but i get their mutterings and randomness mixed with brilliance. 1) Joel is about the story and Ethan's about the words (dialogue) - i want a brother who's about the dialogue! i'm all about the story! 2) Tim Robbins saying he didn't care that he was in Hudsucker even though it didn't really do well because he was in a great movie. THEY WRITE FOR THE AUDIENCE! not studios. their movies are timeless classics that never get old. AMEN! 3) The Dude at the end sharing their little book they gave to the cast and describing them in the pics and his final statement "they have such weird senses of humor." - totally. they do and say shit that not many other people will admit to thinking or saying or doing. good on ya. thanks so much for sharing, but i understand why they don't do many of these... they haven't much to say really. hahahaaaa.

I'm loving this course as it's given me an excuse to revisit 13 wonderful Coen brothers movies. And how cool for you to have an actual Texas Hill Country Cowboy in your family. I know the Coens are fascinated with west Texas.

Despina, it's funny how little communication they are able to sum up in interviews. I've seen dozens of them and they put the "la" in laconic. It doesn't help that half the time, they are laughing as some inside joke the question or comment generated between them, and so their words are interrupted by titters and guffaws. But boy, can they communicate through their movies and scripts. Holy crap!
