Even for someone new to all this it is exciting. Over the last few weeks, having been on GITs and getting more involved with The Blackboard, I have had the chance to meet lots of great people, working on great projects, many of whom are applying to the various contests that have deadlines looming. The Nicholl is something I am hoping to have a crack at next year, and I think it would be great to hear from those submitting about their experiences and what they get from taking part in the competition. Might be an interesting thread to start over on the Blackboard?

Will take you up on The Black Board suggestion.

My only experience was submitting several years back (a screenplay that wasn't as good as I thought it was, in retrospect, so i got what I deserved...) And now I no longer qualify. But everyone else should be taking this opportunity! Get that screenplay in!

Thanks for the info Scott. Love the Nicholl. Always a professionally-run contest and obviously the most prestigious. I've got two scripts in this year; a thriller and a sci fi. Fingers crossed. The entry fee is worth it purely for the anticipation alone.

I didn't even have to pay Lydia and I'm excited for you.
