Very much enjoyed the interview. Thanks, Chris. One thing I am curious about is how many scripts you wrote before Sand Castle. Obviously the story was brewing in your head from your experience, but I am wondering if you learned about narrative construction on other scripts first. Congrats on everything, well deserved.

This third part of this interview is fairly intense. That "no-man's land" and the process of disassembling and reassembling perspectives reality and morality seems to be hitting at the essence of the Iraq (and Afghanistan) experience. I hope to see this film one day...
