The last Jim Uhls draft before David Fincher came on board is one of my favorite scripts of all time. Fincher's influence on the third act nearly ruined the film, IMO. I read Uhls' draft in 1998 and told everyone I know "I've seen the future of cinema." Just blown away. Saw the movie twice in the theater, thinking "This is so close, and yet so far, to just right…"
