I don't understand the freaking subtitles. Somebody educate me.

I first saw THE EXORCIST when it was re-released in either 77 or 78, and I remember it quite well. I was only 12 at the time so a lot of the theological themes went completely over my head. It's one of the few films that has actually gotten scarier to me as I've gotten older (THE SHINING is another), because although I'm not a parent, being of parenting age and having friends who are parents has clued me in to what the mother is going through.
