Brad, thanks so much for putting us in the shotgun seat for a few miles, giving us a glimpse of the journey. I loved "The Low Dweller" immediately upon first read. It truly had an energy, a deep bass hum to it, vibrating on every page. I understand now, after reading this interview, where that came from -- the character work you were giving us. Thanks for that, and continued good luck to you. Here's hoping we see your writing credit up on a lotta screens, real soon.

John, you are quite right. If you read the interview with Brad in its entirety, it's striking how much emphasis he puts on character. Of course, given my focus on character-based screenwriting, it was music to my ears!

Thank you both Brad and Scott for another fine interview in this fascinating and highly informative series.

Thanks for the candor about the ups and downs of your journey and reminding this wannabe that the fabled spec sale won't guarantee a career (although obviously it can help get it started) and that writers must prove themselves over and over again. Whether we're represented, sold, produced, etc, or not, we all have to push that goddamn rock up the hill every day.
