Hey Justin, Thanks for the interview! Did you need to get the book rights or story rights before writing the screenplay or did you just base it off public knowledge? Also, I was wondering what genres your other three screenplays were before you dived into a Bio-script. Thanks!

Hey Alan, Thanks for the question. I didn't use a specific source for McCarthy, so fortunately book rights were not an issue. It was more of an amalgamation of various sources. My previous scripts were dark, contemporary thrillers. I look at them as more educational than actual pieces of writing at this point. The first script was awful, second was mediocre, third was okay...baby steps.

> He’s just a guy that wanted attention, that wanted to be loved and that’s something we see throughout his life. I love this insight, Justin. It reminds me of Michael Shurtleff's idea of the love in the scene. A deep-seated desire for love and approval is such a great way to motivate a villain. Lord knows where we'd be now if someone had bought Hitler's postcards. > Scott: I noticed that you used several pre-laps to help with those transitions. Scott, I've seen very little written on how to use pre-laps effectively, or even how to format them properly. Would you consider picking that up as a topic for a future post?

Remind me, Shaula, and I'll take that up, probably as a reader question.
