This is one of my all-time favourite movies, too. Here is a link to the full script: Strangelove Script (pdf) The DVD version available from Netflix has a great bonus feature, "Inside the making of Dr. Strangelove", which is a master class on making black comedy, and goes into great detail about the production considerations around that bomb bay scene. Here are links to some great interviews with Terry Southern on the writing and making of the film that you might enjoy: Kubrick and Southern: "Just what is it we're trying to say with this scene?" Thanks for that, Shaula. "Strangelove" is one of my top 5 movies of all-time and Peter Sellars my favorite comic actor, so any/all information on the movie greatly appreciated. Shows how brilliant Kubrick was that he managed to nail the tone of this satire just right, especially since I believe satire is the single hardest movie genre to do well.

Great film! Within the "animal kingdom" of would-be auteurs, Kubrik was -- and is -- an apex predator. I use the work "merkin" in mixed company, mostly because no one knows what it means.
