My biggest issue in 2012 was completing first drafts. I stopped about 30 pages into my last script in October, and it has gnawed at me since. I have a hard time shutting off my internal editor/critic (he just won't shut up sometimes) and it can destroy my progress and faith in my screenplay.

Ok, here I am: I am a writer who loves writing first drafts, but I just hate editing. I know my plot, I know my characters, I know my intention for writing the scenes that I write, I love writing dialogue, but editing is just such a dreadful process for me. Admittedly, this is also always the point where I start doubting myself and question if I have what it takes to be a good writer. Because I do see the necessity of editing I just don’t enjoy it! Does anybody here experience this utter dislike towards editing a first draft....?
