It's a pretty interesting story with a few twists and turns. One thing I should mention: That meeting with Rodney's 'people' was the very first time I noticed the tendency of Hwood types to shorthand movie titles. This particular fellow kept referring to "Back to School" simply as "School." For example: "So when we made 'School'..." "I knew 'School' was going to be a big hit when..." There is a general way Hwood people do that, but there is a special meaning when someone who is close to a project does it, to infer their special connection to the movie. In other words, "I am so closely associated with this hit movie, I can refer to it shorthand." So as you go to meetings in Hollywood, you will hear people say things like "Gump" and "Knight" and "Raiders," delivered with a little smile that suggests, "I deserve partial credit for that movie's success."
