I can't recommend highly enough the Original UK 1990 version starring the incomparable Ian Richardson. In the US, it is available on Netflix. If the remake is even half as good as the original, it will be very good indeed.

Seconded. This looks promising, but Andrew Davies set in incredibly high bar with the original series.
