Scott, your idea about the yoga studio is pretty funny :) I see this as a horror/mystery. Several men in a small town have disappeared. It's found out that they all attended this dance studio so an undercover cop goes in to sign up for the classes and eventually becomes one of the sex slaves held in the studio basement of this female masochist.

I see this as a Cohen Brothers movie. Satire? Yes. Filled with those wonderfully drawn small town characters we all know publicly and curse privately. A satirical onion where the story peels back the layer after layer of hypocrisy... revealing the awful truth about ourselves.

Coen brothers. Good call. It's Fargo meets 50 Shades of Grey!

Not sure I coudl do justice to something satirical, so I would probably stray into thriller/horror territory as the people on the list start to get bumped off in mysterious circumstances, investigated by the detective with the dirty secret of being last on the list - can s/he solve the crime in time? A sort of Final Detination type vibe....

I just read about this in the news last week, I think. Thought it was fake then. HA! I automatically want to take it the thriller route. Sort of to the same tone as Unfaithful or Arbitrage (hey, not my fault they're both Gere flicks) or Fatal Attraction or something... but who's doing the sabotaging or who has the murderous intentions? The wives? The men who don't want their names released? The Zumba instructor? Are there any people who get jealous because they thought they were the *only* one doing the cheating? Are they going after each other or the judge in charge? Is it a race to stop the list from being released for security reasons? Will it cost a company their reputation? Is it 150 all within the same company and now they're all aiming to kill each other, or call mutiny on the CEO? Is there a high ranking military official on that list a la Petraeus? It could go a million directions. Maybe she was a desperate mom who needed lifesaving surgery for her kid or a blackmarket organ donor. Maybe she was just *that* good. Hey, we all have our calling...
