Continuing with the dating analogy, if you really care about her you'll give her the special treatment, i.e. you'll actually write a treatment. Possibly even several. Milk that getting to know you phase for all it's worth, because if you don't really know her then how are you going to depict her in all the very fine detail she deserves when it actually comes time to take that relationship to the next level?
