I'm put off by these writers poo-pooing classes and books. Why deny a chance to learn and grow? Judging from Addams Family and Edward Scissorhands, Caroline Thompson should have read those notes. But I could go for the chocolate milkshake school of screenwriting.

The barometer I use is this: when I know I am using other sources to procrastinate from the real business of writing, then it's time to write. Like right now!

I'm glad someone called her on that Bryan. It was pretty cheeky of her to rip up the notes AND SEND THE PIECES BACK to her writing partner. If I were her partner, the next package I sent would be ticking. The guy's just trying to help and she flips the F--- out.

I really like this series, it has given me a bit of writing inspiration today. Tried the 3 page break down suggested in one of the previous posts. I don't think it actually helped me but maybe it will get to work on the ould subconscious. Tick tick tick... BOOM!
