Just a note on that 11 *US* milestones of TV nudity. The BBC produced Casanova in 1971 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casanova_(1971_TV_serial)) with full frontal nudity and sex scenes. 30 years later US TV had got as far as showing a dead woman's breast. Interestingly it was written by the awesome Dennis Potter - which explains a lot. (And yes, I did see it at the time, I think my parents thought it would mean they didn't have to explain sex to me.)
