Potentially, very. Because no one's going to buy a screenplay they don't remember or like, and one of the ways you can make an impression on the reader is with writing style.
Of course, style alone won't save a weak premise or thin characters, but the more we have going for us as writers, the better our chances. Got a good story, characters, etc? Add a distinctive, attractive style, and that 's one more weapon in your arsenal.
