Good fodder for future themes for the week: Best movie line that instantly identifies a character. "Shaken, not stirred." "Spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down." "Feel lucky, punk."

Great trailer.

AMAZING. I'm blown away - Deakins's cinematography + big action -- I'm freaking out a little bit, ha ha.

I am not the biggest James Bond fan, but I do like the way they have shaped this iteration [Craig] of the character because he's actually a character. I know and understand the idea behind the original, an action-adventure hero who doesn't change, almost superhero in nature, and as fun as it was to watch him in action, I can't say I ever really felt an emotional connection with him. But this version is more accessible while still kicking ass. Anybody else feel that way? Or perhaps there are those who LOATHE this new Bond which is certainly a fair POV.

I see your point, Scott - Craig's Bond has a nice emotional vulnerability to him that really brings us into the story. I think it's specific to our current trends in cinema - the gritty realism vs. action heroes. I like both versions (really, I've liked all the Bonds which exist as nice examples of their times.) I did like a bit of a nod to the "coolness" of Bond in this trailer - I literally cheered when he jumped on to the train and fixed his suit sleeve. I was a huge fan of Brosnan's Goldeneye Bond. Just wish I could be that cool some time.
