Dutch, the class is online and what is known as 'asynchronous,' a big word meaning you can do almost all of the activity on your own time. Download lectures, read them, post comments, upload optional writing exercises, forum Q&A, all if your pajamas in bed with a cup of coffee if you'd like! The one synchronous event is the teleconference which I generally schedule mid-afternoon Eastern time [U.S.] on Sunday. I record that session and upload audio so it is available for review for those who miss the call. I've been involved with online education for over a decade and it is amazing how great it is, how much of a community forms there. I encourage you to take the class. It really is an excellent one with loads of information. Plus I'll be breaking down "Brave" in it.

I will likely do some analysis of Brave on GITS in a few weeks, after the Pixar class. I know the movie has not fared as well with movie critics as other Pixar films, but I loved it, and believe it will emerge as one of the best films the company has produced. A deeply psychological movie with layer upon layer of emotional meaning.
