As a reminder, the free course offer is for those who submitted loglines for "The Quest." So at this point I have a confirmation from Sarah and she is in the class. Waiting to hear from Sean, David and Joseph Palmer. If those three qualify, that would leave one more roster spot.

David, we will get into this a bit down the road of GOYOQ: Week 6 for Scene and Week 8 for Time, but briefly: The number one bottom line reality about any scene is that it has to have a point. There has to be a reason for its existence, to move the narrative forward, and it does that by starting somewhere and ending somewhere. The ending almost always reflects the point of the scene. Re time: I'm not sure anybody else has thought about screenplay time to the degree I have, but a whole wealth of insight arises from the simple fact that a screenplay is written in the present tense, not past tense like almost all novels. There is in screenplays a sense that what is happening is happening now, and that impacts everything we do in approaching how and what we write. Hence Time = Present.

Scott, I would love to take the class if I haven't missed the boat while writing this comment.
