I'm amazed that you continue to find ways to encourage and enable writers. What a wonderful world it would be if everyone were so giving. You may look back on this and realize you were out of your mind, but I suspect you will find that it was both personally and professionally rewarding. Hopefully, history will look back on the writers and scripts that come from "GITS The Quest" the same way people look at Pixar: consistently top quality scripts and stories that are entertaining, satisfying and commercially successful. May the richest of God's blessing be upon you.

Just to echo everyone else here, thanks so much for doing this Scott. It's been a big motivator and you're providing such an extraordinary opportunity to better ourselves as writers. I'm curious about the stats of the submissions, whether or not if taken as a whole any trends seemed to emerge? Maybe a certain type of concept repaeted more than any other? Or many that were exactly the same? Or at least on the same lines a la deep impact/Armageddon? Just an idle curiosity.

I've scoured the Internets since the dawn of cyberspace hoping to find some circumventive route into a screenwriting career and am completely honest when I say I'd never even come close to finding one until happening upon your site some months ago. Your insights are always informative and fun, and would have been enough to keep me returning. The Quest: Whatever It's Eventually Called and the considered, transparent way in which it's worked it out week-to-week has not only closed the deal but has also been a writer's – and producer's – joy to behold. Marcello, one of the things I promised at the beginning of this is all loglines remain private. I am the only person who will read all of them. Then for obvious reasons, the four writers chosen for "The Quest," we will keep their loglines private because they/I don't want their ideas known until their scripts are complete and ready to go to market. That said, I will try to pull together some lessons we all could take away from the thousands of loglines submitted for "The Quest." I noticed quite a few trends and I'll attempt to do a bit of analysis for general consumption on GITS. But repeating: I will not be making public any loglines that were submitted to "The Quest." That's a promise I made. I keep my promises.

Declan, there are quite a few subject areas / sub-genres / story types that popped up frequently. As I mentioned elsewhere, I will do some analysis on that in a generic way -- not mentioning any specific loglines -- as I think it would be interesting, possibly even educational to see what trends there are out there among GITS readers.

Every time I think about what you're offering with The Quest, I well up a little. Your karma basket overfloweth.
