Hi Matt. Fantastic work. It's a rare treat to get to read a short script before you watch the production. Some beautiful imagery and great performances. I love the contrast between the two girls, both physically and in how they sound. The shot of Addie sitting on the chair outside the house, smoking the cigarette, is beautifully composed. I'm also glad you decided to excise the dialogue about distraction and love. It read a little on the nose and it works so much better with Jane simply laughing the way she does. The only criticism I have is how hard it is to make out the blood stain on Addie's trousers. I only knew it was a blood stain because I read it in the script. But other than that, a really well made short. Great sound and wonderfully atmospheric.

Thank you! Yeah, I liked the way these two girls looked next to each other, and I wrote the movie for them. I wonder how much of the blood stain visibility has to do with the screen that you're watching on. Hmm.

Thanks! I like writing shorts because I feel like I can put a lot of my subconscious into it and make it dense with ideas and feelings in that way, rather than trying to pack in a lot of story. I'm glad it makes you curious! I wanted people to be drawn in by not knowing where this is going or what's going to happen next. If the movie were to continue on, it'd still have that sense of not quite knowing what's around the corner, which feels more true to life to me. Thanks for watching and thanks for your comments!

Thanks! It's one of those things that I suppose could be a feature simply because anything could happen next and as long as I could keep up the feeling of unpredictability, but still keep people curious, then it could just grow and grow. I hope to write a feature that works like that, rather than something too predictable.
