Wow, Cream is definitely a long way from Nirvana, lol. For shits and giggles, I looked at the song I've played the most according to iTunes: Crash Karma's Not About Anger. That's somewhat unfair because the song has been on my workout playlist since I downloaded it over two years ago. All things considered, I've felt for a few years now that Stone Temple Pilot's Interstate Love Song is THE rock song of the last 15 years or so... at least for me!

That was a very good debut album - never got the whole "grunge" bit from that album, though - nor the STP being a ripoff of Pearl Jam. Gosh, there were a lot of great debut albums around that time: Nirvana and Pearl Jam are most notable, but I've always been partial to Weezer's blue album.

We could get in to a *looong* argument about the merits of various guitarists, but if you like 60's Clapton, then you *have* to listen to 60's era Peter Green, the guy who replaced him in the Bluebreakers and who inspired BB King to say: "He has the sweetest tone I ever heard; he was the only one who gave me the cold sweats."
