NO! I was just thinking about him the other night and how he is ALWAYS writing. He never stopped. I can't bear to think of him not writing now. There aren't even words to describe his amazing talent. I was a huge sci-fi fan as a kid and devoured everything he wrote. I have often said that when I die, I'm taking a copy of The Martian Chronicles with me. He was a great inspiration to me to write as I'm sure he was to countless others. He's leaving a giant hole behind, one I'm sure he'd turn into a portal. RIP Sir.

A force like Bradbury dies in body but lives on in spirit. Here's a little excerpt from the amazing Paris Review interview he gave a couple years ago: "I went back and saw [Mr. Electrico] that night. He sat in the chair with his sword, they pulled the switch, and his hair stood up. He reached out with his sword and touched everyone in the front row, boys and girls, men and women, with the electricity that sizzled from the sword. When he came to me, he touched me on the brow, and on the nose, and on the chin, and he said to me, in a whisper, 'Live forever.' And I decided to." The rest of the interview, chock full of indispensable advice on writing and life-living, can be found here: http://www.theparisreview.org/interviews/6012/the-art-of-fiction-no-203-ray-bradbury

One of the few sci-fi writers whose work could be described as canonical. It was that important.

A very interesting and likely overlooked part of Ray Bradbury's "coming out" http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/301992/ray-bradbury-great-conservative-john-fund

Thanks Scott for these videos. I watched all of them. So much wisdom and good advice. These videos are invaluable for any writer. One of the wonderful things about technology, we get to capture the thoughts and stories of great people and enjoy them even after their gone. RIP Mr. Bradbury

From the quote above, Mr. Bradbury writes screenplays in his sleep. So take comfort in knowing that he is still writing.
