Wow. It gets more and more depressing trying to break into this business when those with a voice are still greenlighting these projects. No offense to Mr. Lee, because I recognize that there is a market for this and he's getting 'there' however he can, but as a mother and a writer, it disappoints me to see that we can't do better than putting up poor behavior as entertainment. Just my viewpoint.

From watching this trailer, it looks like they just ripped off Jersey Shore with a cast of Koreans. I have no idea how that furthers the image of Asian-Americans. Jersey Shore is a just a bunch of walking stereotypes. I guess there will be a new stereotype that's added to Asian-American, but it doesn't look like this show does anything to truly explore what it means to be Korean. Some years back, I worked for a Korean company and I learned a lot about the culture from being around actual Koreans. They weren't stereotypes, they were actual human beings doing their jobs, raising their families, going to church, etc. It looks like all I'm going to learn from this reality show is that Koreans can be douchebags, too. Bravo [slow clap]

donna, consider this a public service announcement about the type of programming that is selling nowadays. But so is "The King's Speech" and "Moneyball." We live in an era of 'niche-ification,' and Hollywood will make content for everyone as they try to maximize profits.

It's difficult, isn't it? This is another example of a type of television I abhor. So, I don't watch. Simple. BUT as a screenwriter, by cutting myself of from a whole genre of entertainment that I find repellant and indicative of things going horribly wrong, am I limiting my world view? Tricky. Perhaps I'll continue to live in my ivory tower a little longer. Now, where's my box set of "Brideshead Revisited"?

If it's not something you ever think you'll ever be involved in, it makes sense to never watch it. That's my opinion.
